082008 This is a prayer request from our pastoral search team: Please pray for discernment for the Search Team as they review applications, listen to sermons, review DVDs and, on more than one occasion, meet with a pastor who is in Colorado and asks to visit with the team. Last night the team did visit with one pastor, Thomas, and met his family. The team put his application in the stack with others who may be the man of God’s choice for further investigation and prayer. Both the team and the applicants need godly wisdom as they inquire of the Lord regarding their/our future. This is true in regards to Thomas as well as all of the many applicants—the ones that are set aside for further examination and the ones yet to be reviewed.
Again, please pray for discernment, wisdom, clarity of thought, stamina, spiritual protection and the leading of the Holy Spirit for our search team and all the applicants.
