*Because PayPal charges us fees**, you might instead consider an online "Bill Pay" arrangement with your bank, since many banks do not charge a fee for this service and Mountain View will receive the full amount of your donation. Banks vary, but most have the option of one-time payments or setting up recurring ones. The address for sending payments this way is on both our Contact Us and Find Us pages; please be SURE you include in the address "ATTN: Financial Secretary" (for confidentiality reasons and expeditious processing) when you set up your online payment(s) with your bank. You will immediately receive an emailed receipt from PayPal on our behalf for the full amount of your donation. PayPal and "Bill Pay" donations will both be reflected on your annual contribution report which you will receive after the end of the current calendar year.
**Donating via PayPal will incur a fee of 2.9% to our church.
From PayPal's policies: "It's always free to send money to your friends and family when you use your PayPal balance or bank account. Fees apply only if the sender uses a credit or debit card."
However, MVBF is set up with PayPal as a Business, so we are charged the standard rate of 2.9% plus fee of 30¢ no matter the mode of your giving, so for a $100 donation, we receive $9680. If you would like Mountain View to receive the full intended amount of your donation, please adjust the amount of money you send accordingly. It will need to be more than our fee to compensate for the additional amount; for us to receive $100, you would need to send $10330 .
